Collaboration With Local Businesses
Demonstrating how working together in the marketplace can be a win/win situation – it’s nice to be able to share this good news story.
When one of RT Promotions clients, Richmond Home Improvement Co, started asking for PPE for their staff, it became apparent that not only was the kit in short supply, but there were many prohibitive restrictions to placing orders, not least, the minimum order quantities being requested.
Time to have a cunning plan then!! So the two MD’s got together on the phone and arrived at a simple strategy. Allan Tofield, MD of Richmond Home Improvement Co, would have a phone around of his contacts, and see if he could pull together an accumulative purchase order. As Allan explained: “It’s always great when local business’s work together for the benefit of all, especially during the current Covid-19 situation. I simply arranged for the five other local business owner/friends to pool our resources and in a couple of hours we had sufficient numbers to make up the minimum order quantities. The result was that everyone had hand sanitisers, face masks and gloves, so we can all return to work safely over the coming weeks. RT Promotions and ‘collective buying’ got it at the right price which means we can all protect our staff, customers and ourselves! WIN, WIN”.
